Semantic Tagging as a Service - STAS

What is it?

Frustrated by searches for your media assets, web content pages or publications that return too many irrelevant items?

Then you need to consider semantic tagging.

We give semantic meaning to tags so that you can apply true meaning to your assets and subsequently make their contextual usage significantly easier for machines to understand. This in turn allows us to develop more intelligent applications for aggregating, searching, and browsing the Web.

This has significant implications for large scale media cataloguing of assets that are dispersed and require teams of editors, cataloguers and researchers to add and source information.

How It Works

We have devised our tag manager containing our own picture thesaurus of terms for using to mine media assets and make them easily accessible online and across customised cataloguing systems by integrating with common tags.

By tagging assets with common tags we are able to ensure your content is correctly described by linking to content that unambiguously indicates what the content means. Assets are marked up in RDF format with unique, well-defined concepts thereby increasing the online searching and discoverability of the exact content. You still have the flexibility to include your own in-house vocabulary and ensure findability across cataloguing systems for back office operations.

We have also integrated our CMS with a range of social networking and knowledgebase apps for harvesting media assets which based on comparisons and reasoning result in suggested and automated concept tags generation for attaching to content.

Working to industry standards our metadata tools and editorial team are able to take your content clean and snap these into visual tools to extract categorisation and conceptual terms to facilitate the whole discovery and content generation process.

Using our digital asset management products we can help to ingest, manage and distribute your digital files in a range of formats via current and future distribution platforms.
